Milton Methodist Church Celebrates 200 years in 2012!
February 3, 2012According to Woolsey’s “The History of Marlborough,” “The Milton Methodist Episcopal church was the first Methodist church of the county” (Woolsey 375). It was incorporated on November 16, 1812, and the construction cost, in 1812, was totaled at $1907.92. “In 1904 and 1905, the church was enlarged and remodeled at an expense of $7,000” (Woolsey 397).
