Old Marlboro Garage Is Today’s River’s Depot on Route 9W

This image shows the River Depot when it was still the Marlboro Garage. It looks like there is a WWl “In Flander’s Field” memorial float in front of the garage in this picture. Perhaps it was for Memorial Day, since it is dated May 30th, but the year is unknown.

WWI Monument in Marlboro

This monument was unveiled on Memorial Day, 1922 and is located in front of the Billesimo Real Estate Building in the center of town. The tablet itself is Bronze. In spirit of Memorial Day, visit the various war memorial monuments in our hometown. Call the library to schedule an appointment to view the names of those who served in the Civil War from Marlboro. Our library has local Memorial Day parades from the past on DVD available for public check-out. Also, this year’s Memorial Day parade will be in Milton.
